Breaking Free From Lust
The Truth About Lust
Lust is more than just a fleeting thought—it’s a battle for your soul. It distorts God’s design for intimacy and leaves you feeling trapped in guilt and shame. But the good news is that God offers a way out.
Here’s what I’ve learned in my journey to overcome lust:
Recognize It’s a Spiritual Battle
Lust isn’t just a physical temptation—it’s spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. Breaking free requires spiritual tools: prayer, fasting, and immersing yourself in God’s Word.Guard Your Mind and Heart
Lust thrives when we give it a foothold. Be mindful of what you consume—whether it’s media, conversations, or idle thoughts. Philippians 4:8 urges us to dwell on what is pure, lovely, and admirable.Remember God’s Grace Is Sufficient
You’re not defined by your past. God’s grace is a constant invitation to start fresh. When you stumble, don’t give up—lean into His mercy and keep pursuing Him.
I go much deeper into these steps and share practical strategies in my latest YouTube video "How to Beat Lust for Good."
I pray this video equips you with the tools you need to find freedom.
