Have you ever wondered what your purpose in life is?

Maybe you’re overwhelmed with questions about your future—what career to pursue, whether to attend university, or how to find success. You try different things, but nothing seems to work, leaving you feeling lost and uncertain.

That was me at 16. I constantly compared myself to others on social media, especially those younger than me who seemed to have it all together. I felt like a failure, convinced I had no gifts, no direction, and no hope. I battled depression and even had suicidal thoughts. But what I didn’t realize at the time was that I was in the wilderness, like many bible characters were before stepping into their purpose. It was my season of preparation, though I couldn’t see it back then.

I’ve come to understand that life operates in seasons, and that includes our purpose. Just like David, who spent years in the wilderness being prepared for his destiny as king, our purpose unfolds in its own time.

The 4 seasons of purpose are:

1. The Preparation Season

2. The Growth Season

3. The Pruning Season

4. The Fruitful Season

Each of these seasons plays a vital role in shaping who we are and guiding us to fully embrace our God-given purpose.

At 22, I began to understand this truth. I felt successful—not because of wealth or fame, but because I had embraced the journey God had for me. When I looked in the mirror, I saw someone I was proud of, someone shaped by God’s plan.

Now, at 24, I’m stepping into a new season: launching my YouTube channel. In my first video, I dive deeper into these Four Seasons of Purpose and how you can recognize which season you’re currently in. God has given you gifts and a unique purpose. Even if you don’t see it now, trust that He’s working behind the scenes, preparing you for what’s ahead.

Your life may not change overnight, but with the right mindset and a heart focused on God, you’ll look back one day and see how it all came together.

As Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Trust in God’s timing as you walk through each season of your life.
